Easy to miss but worth the effort when you find it Tucked away off the main drag, it’s easy to miss Pizzeria Alpi, which would be a real shame. You’ll find it down the small road to the left of the Miramonti Hotel, on the way to the church—a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Step inside , and you’ll find a wonderfully traditional Italian restaurant, complete with a small bar by the entrance and a fully visible pizza oven where you can watch your meal being made from scratch. To the right, a compact kitchen quietly produces the non-pizza dishes. There are two cosy dining areas with a mix of table sizes, all dressed in classic red-and-white tablecloths. Look around and you’ll notice an assortment of quirky knick-knacks adorning the space—along with a particularly striking painting created by one of the younger family members. And that word—family—really is at the heart of this place. On our last visit, we counted three generations all working together, whether cooking, serving, or clearing tables. There’s something genuinely special about the atmosphere: a shared pride and warmth that makes you feel instantly welcome. While the name might suggest pizza is the main event (and with arguably the widest selection in Passo Tonale, it certainly is), the pasta dishes deserve just as much attention. I keep coming back to the gorgonzola pizza and the spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino, while my wife swears the spaghetti Bolognese is the best she’s ever had. It can get busy—always a good sign—so booking ahead is wise if you’re visiting as a group. Short on time? There’s also a takeaway option. Prices are very reasonable for the area, with pizzas and pasta starting from around €10. If you’re after an authentic Italian dining experience in the resort—full of character, flavour, and genuine hospitality—without stretching your budget, Pizzeria Bar Alpi is well worth seeking out.

Great pizza at a good price We came here as a group of four and the bill came to around 60 euros for a soft drink and pizza each. The pizza was served quickly, was filling, and very tasty.
